Committee Of Adjustment

Delegates the authority for considering applications for minor variances and consents, provides for compensation for the members of the Committee of Adjustment, adopts policies, procedures and conditions for the operation of the Committee of Adjustment, and establishes a tariff of fees under the planning act.

Court of Revision

Empowered to deal with property owners complaints respecting special assessments charged for capital works, i.e. sanitary sewers, watermains, sidewalks, etc., installed as local improvements under the Local Improvement Act.

Cemetery Board

The Board is responsible for the maintenance, management and control of Town owned cemeteries in accordance with provisions of the Cemeteries Act.

Christmas Parade Committee

The purpose of the committee is to kick off the Christmas season by holding all day events and an all day parade.  This group is committed to organizing and making the yearly Christmas Parade a success. 

West Lincoln Library Board

It is the mission of the West Lincoln Public Library Board to ensure equitable access to popular and reference materials in a variety of formats, for all members of the community. We are committed to encouraging young children to develop an interest in reading.

West Lincoln Heritage Committee

The Heritage Committee is a group of concerned citizens appointed by Township Council under Section 28 of the ONTARIO HERITAGE ACT, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter 0.13, who is working to highlight and to preserve the ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE OF WEST LINCOLN.
Formed in 1987, the West Lincoln Heritage Committee examines structures to determine their heritage value.  The Heritage Committee recommends to Township Council that a By-law be passed.  Once the By-law has been passed, it is registered in the local Registry Office for reference.  The designated property is also listed in a public register to allow municipal authorities to determine if proposed property changes are permitted within the spirit of the designation.It is hoped that through this work, WEST LINCOLN'S HERITAGE can be preserved for the appreciation and enjoyment of generations to come.


JAAC

The municipalities of Grimsby, Lincoln, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Pelham, Thorold and West Lincoln
formed a joint Accessibility Advisory Committee under the provisions of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.
The main purposes and activities of the Accessibility Advisory Committee are:

  • To advise Councils on the preparation, implementation and effectiveness of an annual
    accessibility plan
  • To review site plans of and advise on accessibility issues relating to identified buildings
    within the Municipalities
  • To advise Councils on other accessibility related issues within the Municipalities including policies and procedures associated with accessibility issues, customer service etc.
