Automotive Transportation
Located along Regional Road 20, West Lincoln is only a ten minute drive from one of Ontario's major transportation corridors, The Queen Elizabeth Way. The QEW is Niagara's main connecting junction to the many of the 400 series highways, the Trans-Canada Highway system, and provides access points to several border crossings into the United States. West Lincoln is also in close proximity to many other transportation routes that provide access throughout Ontario. In addition, the region is proposing to develop a Mid-Peninsula Corridor which will create a major highway route on top of the escarpment. This Corridor could provide a great opportunity for more efficient movement of goods and services throughout West Lincoln and surrounding communities. More information regarding the Mid-Peninsula Corridor can be found on the Niagara Regional Web Page (www.regional.niagara.on.ca).
Plane Transportation
In addition to automotive transportation, the commercial and Industrial sectors are also in close proximity to local airports such as Hamilton International Airport and Niagara District Airport. Two major airports which are easily accessible include Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport and Buffalo Niagara International Airport. These airports are both within a one hour drive from West Lincoln, which makes air travel fast and convenient.
Rail Transportation
The Canadian Pacific Railway travels directly through the Township, including a portion of Smithville's Industrial Park. This makes the transportation of freight extremely accessible and convenient for industries in West Lincoln. West Lincoln is part of the C.P. Rail main line on the Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo sub-division.
