West Lincoln Invites Public to Join Playground Challenge

For Immediate Release: July 28, 2022

The Township is issuing a challenge to the public, to get outside, get active, and explore West Lincoln’s parks and playgrounds through a new Playground Challenge. The challenge kicks off on Monday, August 1, 2022, and will run until Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

Hosted on the GooseChase app, the Township’s Playground Challenge invites individuals and families to earn points by completing special missions at each of West Lincoln’s 11 playgrounds.

        1.       Abingdon Playground: 9184 RR 65, Caistor Centre

        2.       Alma Acres Playground: 35 Lindan St., Smithville

        3.       Anastasia Playground: 50A Golden Acres Dr., Smithville

        4.       Caistorville Library Playground: 9549 York Rd., Caistorville

        5.       Harvest Gate Playground: 48 Harvest Gate, Smithville

        6.       Leisureplex Playground: 2543 South Grimsby Rd. 6, Smithville

        7.       Rock Street Playground: 6287 Townline Rd., Smithville

        8.       Silverdale Community Hall Playground: 4610 Sixteen Rd., St. Anns

        9.       Streamside Playground: 42A Creekview Dr., Smithville

     10.       Wellandport Community Centre Playground: 5042 RR 63, Wellandport

     11.       West Lincoln Community Centre: 177 West Street, Smithville

Participants who accumulate the most points by the end of the challenge will be entered in a draw to win one of three special back-to-school themed prize baskets. Winners will be announced on Thursday, September 1, 2022.
