The Township of West Lincoln is preparing for the third season of the West Lincoln Farmers' Market! The market season will kick off with the annual Easter Market on April 8, 2023. Scroll down to see full details about this year's Easter Market.
The West Lincoln Farmers’ Market will be hosted outside the West Lincoln Community Centre, at 177 West Street, in Smithville, from 3 to 7 p.m., every Tuesday, beginning June 13, 2023, and ending in Early-October. The Market will again feature local food and farm vendors, set to the tune of live musical entertainment every week.
In partnership with the Smithville Garden Club, we’re hosting two special Plant Sale Markets outside the West Lincoln Community Centre, on May 16 and 23, from 3 to 7 p.m. Make sure you come visit us to purchase your flowers, vegetable plants and seeds from our many farm vendors. The Smithville Garden Club will also be selling perennials, annuals, shrubs and small trees.
Cooking Demonstrations: During our regular Market season, the West Lincoln Farmers' Market will be offering cooking demonstrations using products available at the market, prepared on site and offered as samples.
Teddy Bear Picnic: Plans are also in the works to feature a Teddy Bear Picnic for our younger shoppers.
Market Buck Program: Also new this year is the Market Buck Program that will reward shoppers for participation. Since the market is going plastic free, bring your own shopping bags and enter a draw for $25 worth of Market Bucks that can be used at any vendor at the market.
Applications are open for food- and farm-based vendors wishing to be a part of the upcoming Easter Market and the regular 2023 Farmers’ Market season in West Lincoln. Temporary spaces are also available for artisan and other non-food or farm based vendors.
All prospective vendors should contact Michelle Seaborn, Farmers' Market Coordinator, at mseaborn@westlincoln.ca, to sign up.
West Lincoln's annual Easter market is returning on Saturday, April 8! Join us for a fun day perusing a variety of fabulous local vendors while enjoying thrilling balloon entertainment by Halaloo and beautiful live music by Stephanie Deshane.
