The Township of West Lincoln retained the consulting firms of McQueen Galloway Associates (MGA) and GSP group to develop a Parks and Recreation Plan.

The Plan, adopted by West Lincoln Council on March 23, 2026, provides a roadmap to enhance and grow the Township’s parks and recreation facilities and services for residents, user groups, and visitors now and into the future. This Plan guides decision making across all aspects of parks and recreation, from playgrounds to facilities and everything in between.

Public engagement

Engagement with the community was an essential part of this project, to help build a common understanding of the issues and empower residents to have their say in the future of the Township.

Public engagement included interviews, focus group sessions, workshops, community meetings, youth engagement and a online community wide survey. The consultants worked with the community to ensure your concerns and ideas were incorporated in the development of the Plan where possible.
