National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2026

Please note that Township Administration and the West Lincoln Public Library will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, for Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The West Lincoln Community Centre will remain open.

Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a day to honour Indian Residential School Survivors and the children who never returned home. It remembers the affected families and communities. As we learn about this painful history, we can move toward reconciliation.

The Township of West Lincoln will hold a flag ceremony at the West Lincoln Community Centre on Tuesday, September 29, at 9:30 a.m. to raise the “Every Child Matters” flag and then lower it to half mast.
