Township statement condemning hate-based events

The Township is aware of the Hamilton-based white nationalist group seeking to relocate its anti-immigration conference to a nearby municipality.

As one of those nearby municipalities, we would like to take this opportunity to say West Lincoln is not the right place for this event.

As a municipality, we are working hard to unite our community and build a strong sense of safety, civic pride and belonging. We strongly condemn hate-motivated groups who would dismantle our efforts, spread hatred or breed division within our community.

Staff is working hard to ensure that Township facilities have not and can not be booked for such an event. We encourage private West Lincoln businesses and facilities to be aware and vigilant to not allow hate-based events.
