West Lincoln welcomes new Director of Corporate Services
The Township of West Lincoln is pleased to announce that, after a comprehensive recruitment process, John Henry has joined the team as the new Director of Corporate Services / Chief Financial Officer.
John brings more than twenty years of progressive municipal finance experience, having served in senior leadership roles at the City of Orillia, Town of New Tecumseth, City of Barrie, and City of Vaughan. He holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) designation and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, and has a well-earned reputation as a strategic, engaged, and collaborative leader.
“The strength of any municipality lies in its people,” says Mayor Cheryl Ganann. “John’s arrival marks an important step as we continue to strengthen our organization and ensure we are well positioned to meet the needs of residents today and for years to come. On behalf of Council, I am pleased to welcome John to the Township of West Lincoln.”
Throughout his career, John has demonstrated a strong track record of financial stewardship and organizational improvement. Among his many accomplishments, he has led long-range financial planning strategies to resolve significant capital funding shortfalls, overhauled procurement frameworks to improve efficiency and value, and substantially strengthened reserve and investment positions in the municipalities he has served.
“My start with West Lincoln has been extremely warm and welcoming and I am honored to be a part of this amazing and mighty team,” says John. “I look forward to building partnerships and undertaking strategies that support and advance West Lincoln’s future possibilities.”
John is passionate about building strong teams, developing staff and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration. The Township is confident he will be a tremendous asset to West Lincoln while navigating the exciting opportunities and challenges ahead.
