The Township of West Lincoln's annual Canada Day event features fun activities for the whole family.

Beat the heat! Due to the ongoing heat wave, firefighters be gently spraying the fire hose at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. during the Canada Day event, to help provide some relief from the heat.

3:30 PM: Round-robin Cornhole 19+ tournament (guaranteed at least 3 games). Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place teams. Register your team of two by June 19 by email to recreation@westlincoln.ca. Please submit the first and last names of both participants and an appropriate team name. Space is limited and will be first come, first served.

Stephanie DeShane, performing as Ranger, is a Smithville-based acoustic artist known for blending country, folk, blues, pop, rock, and gospel into her live shows.

The name Ranger reflects both her vocal range and her love of moving between genres, creating sets that have something for everyone. A former Best Vocalist winner at the Canadian National Exhibition Rising Star Competition, Stephanie continues to perform throughout Niagara while serving as a praise leader in Hamilton.

Claralux is a Canadian folk/acoustic rock band from the Niagara Region, formed in late 2017. Brought together by their passion for music, the band members are vocalist/guitarist John Kizera, vocalist/percussionist Sarah Lamont and also, drummer Max Lamont when booked as an energetic trio.

With over 40 years of combined experience as both session and touring musicians, they put on an engaging, authentic and highly entertaining performance that only a seasoned veteran act can. Their songbook is comprised of classics from the late-60's to 00's, often with a unique twist, making each performance a truly memorable experience; curated for the crowd in front of them.

Kelowna, BC based country artist Mitch Zorn brings over a decade of performance experience across North America. After spending four years living and working in Texas and Tennessee, Mitch returned to Canada with a bold, authentic sound rooted in modern country storytelling. His fan favourite track “Home” earned national airplay and featured artist status on major country radio, helping establish him as a rising force in the format.

In June 2025, Mitch released his debut EP through 604 Records, with standout track “Stray Bullet” blending pop-punk energy and country grit. The EP has surpassed 5.6 million streams, with “Stray Bullet” alone exceeding 1.6 million. A dynamic live performer, Mitch has spent the past year on the road supporting major Canadian acts including Jess Moskaluke, James Barker Band, and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. With a 2026 Boots & Hearts performance confirmed and more live appearances ahead, Mitch Zorn continues to build momentum within Canada’s country music scene.

Mitch Zorn is an emerging force in Canadian country music, known for his bold sound and high-energy live shows. With over 3.3 million streams on his debut EP released in June, Mitch is gaining serious traction. He’s shared stages with Tyler Braden, Steven Lee Olsen, and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and recently earned a spot on both Jess Moskaluke’s Life For Me Tour and James Barker Band’s Buckle Up Tour. A 2025 SiriusXM Top of the Country semi-finalist and BCCMA winner, Mitch brings stadium ready presence, broad appeal, and momentum that makes him a standout pick for a halftime stage.

'Chicken Coop' licensed beverage area

Guests aged 19 and older will be able to purchase alcoholic beverages and enjoy them within a designated event space operated by The Mobile Mixer – Mobile Bar Experience.

The licensed area will be clearly designated, monitored by trained staff and event personnel and operated in accordance with all provincial regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Valid photo ID will be required. Alcohol purchased within the licensed area must remain within the designated boundaries.

Free shuttle service

Parking will be very limited on site. Accessible parking spaces will be reserved. All other guests are encouraged to skip the drive and take the bus.

Pick-up/drop-off locations are available in Caistor, Gainsborough and Smithville.

Route 1: Wellandport Community Centre (5042 Regional Road 63) to Village Square (249 St Catharines Street) to Leisureplex Park (2543 South Grimsby Road 6)

Route 2: Caistor Central Public School (1794 Caistor Centre Road) to West Lincoln Community Centre (177 West Street) to Leisureplex Park (2543 South Grimsby Road 6)

Buses will continue on a loop, arriving at each stop approximately every 30 to 45 minutes.

Yes. The Township Leisureplex Park is a dog friendly area, however, dogs must remain on a leash at all times and all dog excrement must be bagged and disposed of properly.

Yes! For the first time in its history, this event will feature a licensed beverage area where attendees aged 19 and older can purchase alcoholic beverages and enjoy them within a designated event space.

The licensed area, fondly dubbed the “Chicken Coop” and operated by The Mobile Mixer – Mobile Bar Experience, will be clearly designated, monitored by trained staff and event personnel and operated in accordance with all provincial regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. The addition is intended to enhance the Canada Day event while preserving its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.

The licensed area will operate within a controlled outdoor space featuring designated entry and exit points, age verification procedures and responsible beverage service practices. Alcohol purchased within the licensed area must remain within the designated boundaries.

On site parking is very limited, however, Staff do reserve accessible parking spaces, yes. For all other attendees, we highly encourage you to take advantage of the free shuttle service.

No. The shuttle will continue running until everybody has been returned to their pick-up location. Nobody will be left stranded.
