Garden Challenge
Best in Bloom is a gardening challenge presented by the Township of West Lincoln in partnership with Communities in Bloom and Miracle-Gro.
Communities in Bloom (CiB) is a Canadian non-profit organization that strives to foster civic pride and inspire communities to enhance the quality of life and environment through people and plants.
Theme: The 2026 CiB theme is Therapeutic Gardening with lavender identified as a calming plant and colour to be highlighted for the year. Therapeutic gardening fosters connection, resilience and well being.
Categories
Submissions are now being accepted in the following six categories:
- Best Vegetable Garden
- Best Hanging Basket or Container Garden
- Best Pollinator Garden
- Best Lavender Plant
- Best Therapeutic Space
- Best Overall Garden
How to enter
Complete the online form to submit your garden or plant. Please make sure to attach at least one photo along with your submission in order to be considered for judging.
- There is no limit to how many entries a person may submit. Please complete one form per entry.
- Participants and their subject gardens/plants must reside within the Township of West Lincoln.
- Submissions are being accepted from July 9 until August 6.
Winners
The judging period will run from August 6 until August 13. Winners will be announced on August 14.
Winners will receive a garden sign, a Miracle-Gro gift package and a letter of congratulations.
