  • Walking track closure for private event Mar 29

    Please be advised that the walking track located inside the arena area of the West Lincoln Community Centre, at 177 West Street, in Smithville, will be closed between 11 a.m.

  • Spring drop-in programs start Apr. 14

    Drop-in at the West Lincoln Community Centre this spring, where the Township is offering a variety of unstructured activities to promote movement and fun. The spring schedule of drop-in programs starts April 14, 2025, and includes the following:

    • Youth Open Gym
    • Family Open Gym
    • Pickleball
    • Beginner Pickleball
    • Advanced Pickleball
    • FREE Older Adult Social (55+)
    • FREE Ukulele Jam Session (55+)

    Thursday Youth Open Gym sessions are free thanks to generous sponsorship from the Kiwanis Club of West Lincoln.

    The Township of West Lincoln is pleased to announce that, after a comprehensive recruitment process, Cynthia Summers has accepted the position of Director of Community and Protective Services.

    As Director of Community and Protective Services, Summers will oversee the delivery of programs, events, parks and facilities.

  • West Lincoln Council approves 2025 budget

    At its February 24 meeting, Township Council passed West Lincoln’s 2025 Budget, which supports just over $10 million in capital and special projects, to be completed this year, and approximately $23.6 million in operating expenditures funded by property taxes, user fees, grants and reserve transfers.

  • West Lincoln sponsors free March Break skating

    The Township of West Lincoln is sponsoring free skating sessions over March Break. West Lincoln residents are encouraged to bring their family, friends and neighbours for some fun on the ice at the West Lincoln Community Centre, at 177 West Street, in Smithville.

  • Family Day 2025 Holiday Hours

    The Township of West Lincoln wishes the community a safe and happy Family Day weekend.

    Please note that the Township Administration Building, Public Works Building and West Lincoln Public Library will be closed on Monday, February 17, for the Family Day holiday.

  • Committee amends By-laws to regulate backyard chickens in West Lincoln

    West Lincoln’s Growth and Sustainability Committee approved amendments to the Township’s Zoning and Animal Care and Control By-laws at last night’s meeting, which will permit and regulate backyard chickens in residential zones of hamlet settlement areas and in the agricultural area. Backyard chickens will continue to be prohibited within the urban area of Smithville.

  • Registration for March Break Camp opens Feb 19

    The Township of West Lincoln is holding day camp for children ages 4 to 12 at the West Lincoln Community Centre from March 10 to 14. Registration for March Break Camp will open at 12 p.
