Committee amends By-laws to regulate backyard chickens in West Lincoln
West Lincoln’s Growth and Sustainability Committee approved amendments to the Township’s Zoning and Animal Care and Control By-laws at last night’s meeting, which will permit and regulate backyard chickens in residential zones of hamlet settlement areas and in the agricultural area. Backyard chickens will continue to be prohibited within the urban area of Smithville.

Age Friendly Committee hosting NRPS for financial crimes presentationThe Township of West Lincoln’s Age Friendly Advisory Committee is hosting a free presentation on April 11, to inform older adults about financial crimes and provide tools and tips to protect themselves against scams.
The presentation will be led by a Detective from Niagara Regional Police Service and will delve into romance scams, crypto scams, spoofing legitimate/trusted businesses, phishing, grandparent scams, malware/spyware and scam implications of artificial intelligence.
