  • Winter fitness registration opens in January

    Power up your winter. The Township of West Lincoln is launching a new schedule of fitness programs – both beloved classics and brand new options – perfect for helping individuals and families stay active when the temperatures drop.

  • Winter schedule of drop-in programs starts Jan 5

    Shake off the winter chill and head indoors for some active fun! The West Lincoln Community Centre is your go-to destination this season for unstructured, drop-in activities that keep individuals and families moving.

    The Township’s winter drop-in program schedule begins on Monday, January 5, 2026, and includes the following:

    • Adult basketball and volleyball
    • Family open gym
    • Pickleball, including advanced and beginner
    • Older adult social (free)
    • Ukulele jam session (free)
    • Youth basketball
    • Youth open gym.
  • West Lincoln approves new building fees, effective Jan 1

    Township of West Lincoln Council approved new building permit fees at its December 15 meeting. The updated fee structure will come into effect on January 1, 2026.

  • West Lincoln invites residents to leave a lasting LegaSeat in arena

    The Township of West Lincoln is offering residents the chance to leave a lasting legacy in a beloved community space through the LegaSeat sponsorship program.

    The arena inside the West Lincoln Community Centre has been the backdrop for countless memories: first goals, championship wins, family skates and community celebrations.

  • Enjoy free public skating over the holiday break

    The Township of West Lincoln is sponsoring free holiday skating sessions over the winter break. West Lincoln residents are encouraged to bring their family, friends and neighbours for some fun on the ice at the West Lincoln Community Centre, at 177 West Street, in Smithville.

  • Enbridge Gas teams up with West Lincoln Fire to reduce fire and carbon monoxide deaths

    Enbridge Gas Ontario teams up with West Lincoln Fire and Emergency Services to reduce fire and carbon monoxide deaths through Safe Community Project Zero

    Today, Enbridge Gas Ontario (Enbridge Gas), the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council (FMPFSC) and West Lincoln Fire and Emergency Services announced they are working together to improve home safety and bring fire and carbon monoxide-related deaths down to zero.

    West Lincoln Fire received 192 combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
