    West Lincoln Seeks Input for Leisureplex Playground Replacement

    For immediate release: June 4, 2024

    The Township of West Lincoln has launched a survey, asking community members to have their say about features they would like included in the new Leisureplex Playground.

    Replacing the playground, located within the Leisureplex Township Park at 2543 South Grimsby Road 6, in Smithville, was approved as a capital project in 2024 with a total budget of $160,000.

    The following resolution was read at the May 23, 2024, Council meeting, and was unanimously approved by Township Council.

    WHEREAS the Month of June is Pride Month in the Region of Niagara and around the globe; and

    WHEREAS Municipalities across the Region will be holding a variety of Pride commemorations throughout the month of June, commencing with the raising of the Pride Flag on Monday, June 3, 2024; and

    The Township of West Lincoln has extended the borders and reduced the speed limit of the school zone on Caistor Centre Road, to improve safety for students, families and teachers traveling to and from school.

    The school zone of 50 km/h is now in effect beginning and ending 150 metres on either side of the Caistor Central Public School property limits, at 1794 Caistor Centre Road.
