Joint Statement from Mayor Ganann and Interim CAO DeFilippis on International Women’s Day

Today, on International Women’s Day, we applaud the incredible women in West Lincoln whose vital contributions benefit our everyday lives, whose achievements enrich our community and whose legacies have a ripple effect, positively impacting our society for generations to come.

The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day campaign – Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress – spotlights the importance of investing in solutions that empower women and champion gender equality.

At the Township, we are proud of the progress we’ve made towards achieving gender parity on Council, in senior management and in many departments. We are fortunate to have talented and intelligent women in leadership roles, spearheading advancements that affect positive change for our municipality. To our brilliant colleagues, we extend our sincerest gratitude.
