The Township of West Lincoln offers a variety of general interest and hobby programs throughout the year. Find information on upcoming courses below or call Recreation Services at 905-957-3346 ext. 4682.

The Township of West Lincoln is proceeding with implementing the Province's Roadmap to Exit Step. Effective March 1st at 12:01 AM in compliance with O. Regulation 364/20, the West Lincoln Community Centre & Arena will no longer require proof of vaccination to enter the facility. All persons entering the facility must screen themselves for COVID-19.

Home Alone Course – St. John Ambulance

Suitable for ages: 8 to 10 years old

You will learn first aid basics, healthy eating, fire safety and how and when to use 911. This course will also teach you how to:

  • deal with unforeseen emergencies
  • stay safe when you are alone for short periods of times
  • deal with phone calls and visitors
  • recognize hazards and follow home-safety procedures

Please note participants should bring a peanut-free lunch.

Babysitting Course – St. John Ambulance

Suitable for ages: 11 to 13 years old

This award-winning course teaches the skills necessary to care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. It emphasizes safety, dealing with emergencies and first aid basics.

Course materials include a student activity book, a certificate suitable for framing, and a wallet-size certificate. Please note participants should bring a peanut-free lunch and a doll or teddy bear.

Standard First Aid CPR – St. John Ambulance

Suitable for ages: 12 years old and up

This course is designed to meet industry business and government requirements. Standard Level First Aid is for those who want to learn additional First Aid skills. Course topics include but are not limited to:

  • safe use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • emergency scene management
  • choking
  • wound care management
  • poisons
  • burns

Please note participants should bring a peanut-free lunch.
