Update #46 - West Lincoln Response to COVID-19 - Township Prepares to Reopen Community Centre

West Lincoln, Ont. - September 8, 2021

The Township is currently preparing for the cautious and gradual reopening of the West Lincoln Community Centre. Beginning Thursday, September 9, 2021, the Community Centre Arena will reopen for groups with usage agreements.

In order to protect the public and Staff from the potential spread of COVID-19, all persons entering the facility must comply with the following safety requirements:

  • Complete the active screening process with a Staff member upon entrance or through the Township’s online screening tool at www.westlincoln.ca/screening in advance, providing proof of completion to the Staff member;
  • Wear a face covering at all times, unless engaged in strenuous physical activity; and
  • Always maintain a safe physical distance of 2 metres from others.

It is important to note that these requirements are subject to change based on Provincial Regulations, Public Health guidelines, and any potential impending vaccination mandates or policies. The Township will release more information to this effect as soon as it becomes available.

The Community Centre’s Walking Track remains available by appointment between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Please contact Recreation Services at 905-957-3346 ext. 4688 to book an appointment.

Township Staff will review hours of operation on a continual basis and will adjust, as required, based on the observed effectiveness of safety protocols, especially during peak periods. For more information, visit www.westlincoln.ca.
