Celebrate Earth Day by Hosting a Community Clean Up in West Lincoln

For Immediate Release: April 11, 2024

In honour of Earth Day, the Township’s Green Team is once again inviting the public to help keep West Lincoln green by hosting Community Clean Ups. Community Clean Ups can be organized for the days leading up to, on, or after April 22.

Interested parties will be provided with a designated clean-up location, ample supplies, including garbage bags, gloves and safety tips, and arrangements will be made for Staff to pick up the collected garbage after the Clean Up is completed. Visit our Earth Day page to sign up.

The official Earth Day theme for 2024 is Planet vs. Plastics, spotlighting the campaign’s commitment to building a plastic-free planet. Since the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970, Earth Day has grown to engage billions of people across the globe.
