Community Recognition Award nominations open July 1

Nominations to the Township of West Lincoln’s 2025 Community Recognition Awards will open on July 1 and run until September 8. Nominations will be accepted in the following categories:

• Sports/Recreation
• Cultural
• General Volunteerism
• Youth Community Engagement (15 and under)
• Lifetime Volunteerism

Nomination forms will be available for download or online completion at the Community Recognition Awards page. Paper forms will also be available for pick up at Township Administration, West Lincoln Community Centre and all three West Lincoln Public Library branches.

The annual awards program seeks to celebrate residents who, through personal involvement, leadership abilities and selfless giving of their time and talent, have positively impacted the West Lincoln community.

“Our Community Recognition Awards are our chance to pause and celebrate the individuals whose everyday actions help shape the heart and soul of our community. More than just achievements, these awards celebrate character, commitment and community spirit. I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to nominate the volunteers giving their time without expecting anything in return, the neighbours quietly looking out for those less fortunate than them, the local leaders inspiring positive change and the young people already making a difference in the world around them.”
