West Lincoln is reminding residents, business owners and community groups that all signage, temporary or permanent, is subject to regulations under the Township’s Sign By-law.
Posting signs on public property in the Township of West Lincoln is prohibited. Signs posted on private property may require a permit, depending on size, location and distance from roadways and/or sidewalks.
By-law Enforcement has the right to remove signs in contravention of By-laws, without notice, and issue a $200 fine per sign to the owner. Avoid fines by always checking the Sign By-law first and obtaining necessary permits before installing or displaying any sign.
