The Township of West Lincoln wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season. When planning activities, please consider the following holiday hours at Township facilities.

Holiday hours by facility

Township Administration Building: Township Administration will be closed from December 24, 2025, to and including January 1, 2026, reopening January 2, 2026. Township payments may be left in the drop box located at the rear entrance doors. Please no cash. Sign up for MyWESTLINCOLN, an online platform that allows you to view and manage your property tax, utility and receivable accounts. After you sign up for an account, you can access the self-serve options at any time from any location.

Public Works Operation Centre: The Public Works Yard will be closed December 24 to 26, 2025, and January 1, 2026. It will remain open on December 29, 30 and 31, 2025.

West Lincoln Community Centre: The West Lincoln Community Centre will be closed December 24 and 25. The facility will remain open for regular operating hours from December 26 to 30 and for modified hours on December 31 (8 a.m. to 12 p.m.) and January 1 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Sponsored skating sessions are available at the West Lincoln Community Centre over the holiday break. Please visit the Township's Skating and Shinny page to find the ice schedule.

West Lincoln Public Library: All three West Lincoln Public Library branches will be closed December 24, 25, 26 and 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026. Please visit the West Lincoln Public Library website for complete operating hours.

After hours contact

For after hours assistance, please call the Township at 905-957-3346 and follow the instructions on the recorded message. For emergencies, please call 9-1-1.

Winter parking

On-street parking during snow events and/or interfering with snow removal is not permitted in the Township of West Lincoln. Please keep vehicles, garbage / recycling / compost bins, basketball nets or other items far enough from the curb and sidewalk that they do not interfere with plows.

Waste collection

There will be no collection on December 25 or January 1. During those weeks, Thursday and Friday collections will occur one day later than usual. Residential properties may place out an additional two bags/cans of garbage per unit, without garbage tags, on their first garbage collection day following December 25.

Christmas tree collection will occur on regular collection days from January 5 to 9, 2026.

  • Christmas trees must be at the curb by 7 a.m. on your regular collection day
  • Christmas trees wrapped in plastic or buried in snow will not be collected
  • Residents must remove all decorations before placing at the curb
  • Artificial trees will not be collected, book a separate large item collection
