For Twenty Road Country Farm, participating in the Township of West Lincoln’s LegaSeat sponsorship program was an easy decision.
“I think it’s really important for any company to give back and sponsor into the community, especially ours because the community is what supports our farm,” says co-owner Paige Kielt. “I think it’s important to give back to the people that built us up, built our farm up to where it is now. I think it’s really important that the community sees that when they give to us, we give back.”
The LegaSeat sponsorship program offers individuals, groups or businesses the opportunity to have their name, the name of a loved one or the name of a business engraved on a plaque and permanently affixed to a seat in the arena of the West Lincoln Community Centre. Funds raised through the program support the operation and maintenance of the bustling and beloved community space.
Twenty Road Country Farm recently sponsored four seats through the LegaSeat sponsorship program, and the family is looking forward to seeing the plaques once they are installed.
“It’s a really cool sentiment,” Kielt said. “My kids are already talking about when we go to the arena we can find our seats. I just think it’s really special and it means a lot to our family, too.”
Asked what she would say to anyone considering sponsoring a seat, she said, “I think you should do it. I don’t think that you’ll ever regret reinvesting back into your community – big or small – whether it be financially or even time. I think it’s important to just get yourself out there and see what needs doing and help out.”
