Nominations for West Lincoln’s 2026 Community Recognition Awards open April 7

The nomination period for the Township of West Lincoln’s 2026 Community Recognition Awards will open on April 7 and run until May 14.

The annual awards program seeks to celebrate residents who, through personal involvement, leadership abilities and selfless giving of their time and talent, have positively impacted the West Lincoln community.

“West Lincoln is built on the kindness, dedication and quiet leadership of the people who go above and beyond for their neighbours,” says Mayor Cheryl Ganann. “Our Community Recognition Awards are a chance to shine a light on those who make our Township such a special place to live. I encourage residents to take a moment to nominate someone who has made a meaningful difference. Their efforts deserve to be celebrated.”

Nominations will be accepted in the following categories:

• Youth Community Engagement (15 and under)
• Cultural (65+, 40-64, under 40)
• Sports/Recreation (65+, 40-64, under 40)
• General Volunteerism (65+, 40-64, under 40)
• Lifetime Volunteerism (65+, 40-64, under 40)

Nomination forms will be available for download or online completion at the Community Recognition Awards page. Paper forms will also be available for pick up at Township Administration, West Lincoln Community Centre and all three West Lincoln Public Library branches.
