The Township of West Lincoln is thrilled to announce that, after a comprehensive recruitment process, DJ Brooks has accepted the position of Manager, Community Services. In this role, he will oversee facility and parks management as well as recreational programing and community events.

Brooks brings many years of experience working in the recreation and facilities field, most recently having worked for the City of Niagara Falls for more than nine years. His work has focused on building programs and services that reflect the unique needs and voices of the community.

Brooks holds a Master’s degree in in Applied Health as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies. He also recently completed a NextGen Municipal Leadership certificate at Brock University. His education has shaped his approach to public service, which is collaborative, people-focused and grounded in strategic planning and everyday implementation.

Brooks is also an adjunct professor at Brock University, with a specialization in Recreation Facility Management, where he has been teaching for more than ten years.
