The Township of West Lincoln Committee of Adjustment will hold a Public Meeting regarding a Minor Variance application pursuant to Section 45 of the Planning Act, R.S.O 1990.

1168 Regional Road 27 location map

Purpose and effect

This application has been submitted for the lands municipally known as 1168 Regional Road 27. The purpose of this application is to grant relief from the provisions of Section 5.3 (Agricultural Zone) of the Zoning By-law 2017-70, as amended. The variances sought under this submission are: 

  1. To decrease the minimum lot frontage of Parcel 2 from the required 100 metres to 58.15 metres on Regional Road 27.
  2. To decrease the minimum lot area of Parcel 2 from the required 40 hectares to 0.4 hectares. 
  3. To recognize the existing deficient lot area of Parcel 1 from 40 hectares to 14.16 hectares.
  4. To decrease the minimum lot frontage of Parcel 1 from 100 metres to 71.55 metres.

The effect of this variance, if approved, is to permit the creation of a new residential lot and one retained lot for agricultural purposes.

How to participate

Any person may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed consent or minor variance application. If you are unable to attend the public meeting, please submit a written submission to the Secretary-Treasurer prior to the meeting. Such written submissions shall be available for inspection by any interested party. If you do not make a written submission requesting notification of the Committee’s decision or attend the meeting, you will not be entitled to receive any further notification of the proceedings. A request for deferment of the meeting must be made before the Committee, and an alternate meeting date,
if any, will be at the discretion of the Committee.

The applicant(s) or their agent/representative shall attend this meeting, or the application may not be dealt with. Failure of the applicant(s) or their agent/representative to appear at the public meeting may also result in the automatic dismissal of the application. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of West Lincoln Committee of Adjustment in respect of the proposed minor variance or consent, you must make a written request to the Secretary-Treasurer. This will also entitle you to be advised of a possible Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) hearing. No one other than the applicant, the municipality, certain public bodies, and the Minister are able to appeal minor variance decisions.
