Committee amends By-laws to regulate backyard chickens in West Lincoln

West Lincoln’s Growth and Sustainability Committee approved amendments to the Township’s Zoning and Animal Care and Control By-laws at last night’s meeting, which will permit and regulate backyard chickens in residential zones of hamlet settlement areas and in the agricultural area. Registration for March Break Camp opens Feb 19

The Township of West Lincoln is holding day camp for children ages 4 to 12 at the West Lincoln Community Centre from March 10 to 14. Registration for March Break Camp will open at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19.

Campers will be led through fun activities designed to keep them moving and engaged, including but not limited to games, crafts, sports and ice skating. Daily themes include makers and inventors, backwards day, pajama day, escape the day and beach day.

Celebrate Family Day in West Lincoln

The Township of West Lincoln is bringing fun for the whole family at its annual free Family Day event on Monday, February 17, held at the West Lincoln Community Centre, 177 West Street, in Smithville.

The day’s festivities will kick off with the West Lincoln Firefighters’ Pancake Breakfast, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. (or until all pancakes are eaten). Optional cash donations will be accepted in support of the West Lincoln Firefighters' Association.
