West Lincoln hosting semi-formal dance for older adults 55+

The Township of West Lincoln is hosting a semi-formal dance for older adults on Saturday, November 23, from 7 to 11 p.m., as part of its free “The Best Years 55+” programming.

The semi-formal dance will be held in the upstairs community rooms of the West Lincoln Community Centre, at 177 West Street, in Smithville. 905DJCO will play tunes from the golden oldies to keep everybody’s toes tapping. West Lincoln Shines, the annual Community Tree Lighting, is set to return to West Lincoln on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 6:15 to 7 p.m. at the West Lincoln Community Centre, 177 West Street, in Smithville.

West Lincoln Shines is presented by Kiwanis of West Lincoln in partnership with the Township of West Lincoln, Smithville Christian High School, Knights of Columbus, Foodland, Stanpac, Rebecca Mullin Desjardins Insurance and Summer Heinen Royal LePage.

Electric vehicle charging stations installed in West Lincoln

The Township of West Lincoln is pleased to announce that two Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations have been installed and are now ready for public use at the West Lincoln Community Centre.

The stations were installed by Alectra Energy Solutions, which will also own, maintain and operate the chargers for a minimum 10-year period.
