How is my tax calculated?

To calculate your annual taxes, multiply your MPAC assessment by your tax rate.

Use the tax calculator on the Niagara Region website to estimate the amount of property tax you will pay.

If you do not agree with your property value or tax class, you may file a Request for Reconsideration.

Access to assessment rolls

Note: MPAC does not allow electronic copying (photocopying, scanning, photos) of the assessment roll.

Information about assessment rolls is not available over the phone. However, you can view them through one of two ways:

  1. Through our MyWESTLINCOLN portal, you can review non-confidential assessment details about a property. View our step-by-step instructions to walk you through accessing this information.
  2. Visit the Township Office to view the physical assessment roll between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. We are located at 318 Canborough Street in Smithville.

School Support

Property owners or tenants registered with MPAC can view and update their school support designation online by visiting their online portal at www.mpac.ca
