As temperatures begin to rise and snow starts to melt, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) is reminding residents that spring thaw can increase the risk of localized flooding—particularly in low-lying areas and along rivers, streams, and shorelines.

Applications now open for Community Grants in West Lincoln

Applications are now open for the Township of West Lincoln’s annual Community Grants. Local non-profit organizations and community groups are encouraged to apply.

Funding is limited and contingent on budget approval from Council, so there is no guarantee that an application will be approved or that the full amount requested will be granted. Organizations who have received funding in previous years need to re-apply for the grant each year. Applications are due by April 10, 2026.

Currently, there are many more questions than answers regarding potential change to municipal governance in Niagara.
