Ward 1 Caistor
Ward 2 Gainsborough
Ward 3 Smithville

How does a ward system work?

For election purposes, each ward is broken down into polls to streamline the voting process. The Mayor is elected “at-large” by all eligible electors (in all wards). The remaining six Members of Council are elected on a ward basis. Eligible electors in each of these wards elect two candidates to sit as Members of Council to represent their ward and the interests of the municipality.
